When Atlassian acquired Optic they inherited a linting tool called LintGPT.

The tool is very useful for linting YAML in OpenAPI specification files.

What is Atlassian's plans for this tool since it is no longer available as open source ?

The company that I work for is currently an Atlassian client, if that matters any.

Hello @Richard Rothe

Based on my understanding, when Atlassian acquired Optic, the status of LintGPT as an open-source tool changed, and it is no longer publicly available. Atlassian hasn’t officially communicated its future plans for LintGPT, which could mean it’s being integrated into their ecosystem or retired altogether.

If your organization relies heavily on this tool, I’d recommend reaching out to Atlassian to express your needs and inquire about its roadmap. You can open a ticket at https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/ to get clarification or to suggest making the tool available again in some capacity.
