Does anyone have the full scoop on whether DX Service Cloud is replacing Compass and that Compass will be sunsetting?
Hi @Richard A_ Michaels ,
From everything that’s publicly available, I wouldn’t say DX Service Cloud is replacing Compass, and I haven’t seen any official announcement that Compass is being sunset. Atlassian still has Compass listed as an active product, with current documentation and ongoing updates, which normally would not be the case if it were being phased out.
What Atlassian has shared publicly about DX makes it sound more like an additional engineering intelligence capability in the broader developer experience space, rather than a direct Compass replacement. So at least from the outside, this looks more like DX and Compass sitting alongside each other than one replacing the other.
So unless Atlassian announces something more directly, I’d treat any Compass sunset talk as rumor rather than confirmed direction.
If this helped, I’d appreciate an upvote.
Hi @Richard A_ Michaels ,
To my knowledge, there's no official information about Compass sunset. There's nothing public on this topic.
Question is - where did you hear about this?
Btw, I've moved this to the Compass forum group, so maybe someone can chime in here and shed some additional light on this.
Cheers,
Tobi

...With this shift, Compass will be phased out, and we are encouraging all Compass customers to transition to DX to benefit from these new capabilities...
So, it would appear that DX IS replacing Compass... 🤔

Your access to Compass will remain until product support ends on December 31, 2027. During this period, we recommend exploring your options for moving to DX. We invite you to sign up for our upcoming webinar for Compass customers on May 7, 2026 to learn more about DX and how to get started.
What my team wants to know is, who do we contact related to this 'retirement' to provide technical support? All the contact we have are no longer working for Atlassian. | ||||||

Thanks for this @Cate DiNoto !
31st of Dec 2027 sounds reasonable.
We're currently in the process of exploring DX to see how it will affect any clients who had (or have been playing around with) Compass. 👀
As it seems, it's not easy to get an account running on DX and start 'sandboxing' things 😅
