Editing details of Component

If a developer creates a component using a yaml file from within a repository and doesn't specify an attribute in that file such as relationships, could a developer define a relationship using the Compass GUI for that component at a later time?

Question is, if a config as code yaml file is used, is it then required to set any/all attributes through the yaml file of the component going forward?

Welcome to the community!

Once you start managing the component from a yaml file, you will have to disconnect it from the repo to start making changes through the Compass GUI.
