Connecting goals to Scorecards

So, we're trying to make use of this.

But - at least as it seems - it is only possible to connect one scorecard to a goal? When I try to connect a scorecard from Compass to a Goal that already has another score card, it refuses to do anything (silently fails). In the Goal view, meanwhile, there is no way to add additional scorecards nor any way to remove scorecards already assigned.

Is this correct? If so, this does not seem very well thought through. One of the point of goals is to have overaching objectives for the teams/company - it would seem quite natural to have multiple scorecards contributing to a single goal (or even vice versa - one scorecard contributing to multiple goals).

Also, it seems like I can't remove a scorecard from a goal once assigned. That seems like a pretty serious bug.

I didn't even know that you could connect these two. 😯
But yeah, the whole integration could be improved for sure.

I've browsed JAC a bit, but couldn't find any improvement ideas and/or suggestions. 

What I'd recommend is reaching out to Atlassian Support and discussing this a bit with them, as their team can create new requests based on your requirement. 👀

The current design makes sense to me, at least with how I view the relationship between a goal and scorecard. It's not that a scorecard contributes to the progress of a goal, but rather that a scorecard determines the progress on that goal. If that progress requires a combination of metrics to derive the overall goal progress then define that one scorecard to have multiple metrics. Those same metrics can also feed into your other scorecards if needed. I.e., the one-to-many relationship for composability is between scorecard and metric, not between goal and scorecard.
