Can I see the Compass component type or restrict by type for a certain project?

Our usecase is that we want project X tickets only linked to compass component type X in the component field.

There is no type feedback in the jira component dropdown afaics, and we have different type components with the same name making things even harder.

The only easy solution we've come up with so far is pre- or suffixing the component names. f.e. X-component-1, X-component-2.

Any advice is helpful :D

You're right, it’s not currently possible to restrict the Jira Components field based on Compass component types or linked projects. The field operates independently of Compass and shows all components for the Jira project.

Your workaround using prefixes/suffixes is a good one for now, and I'll pass this feedback along to the product team.
