Atlassian Administration terminology change from “products” to “apps”

Can't add to anything that was already said. Stop changing names to things that make less sense than the former and actually work on some of the million bugs and feature requests in your backlog. That would  actually be useful.

This article says

"Why the shift from 'products' to 'apps'? "

Then proceeds to give no reason other that linking an article and saying people are using more apps now and then saying that leads to more problems like context switching.

So if apps are seen as leading to more problems like context switching then why the change?

This does not feel like a compelling reason to change.
