What's the best way to avoid having request auto assigned when my staff is unavailable?

Currently, I'm using Round Robin automation to auto assign them request. However, when they take lunch/break I manually take them out of the automation. I've done a lot of research and I'm not trying to pay extra for a plugin app. I need assistance creating automation/field that will help accommodate

Welcome to the community.

You could start using Team and user on call schedules, then base the rule on the Team and the on call schedule.

But on the side, people do need to take lunch, is there such a need to get them out?

Does this depend on an SLA goal or else?

I know you do not want to pay extra for an app, but the SARJ (Smart Assignments and Rotations for Jira) app works well for that situation. The cost of the application is very cost effective.
