Scheduled Automation for Confluence Page Cleanup

Prasanna Subramaniam

Dear Community ,

Do we have an option to automatically move Confluence pages from one location to another using scheduled jobs?

This is intended as a weekly or monthly Confluence cleanup, where outdated or completed pages can be programmatically moved to the appropriate archive or target location.
Thank you.

Hi there @Prasanna Subramaniam!

So I just asked Rovo to generate a rule using your exact prompt!

Impressively, the rule looks pretty legit. I just needed to specify a parent page (which I named "Outdated Pages to Review")

There is also an Archive page action that seems like it should work, although are some caveats about parent pages, and an option to never archive them:

If a parent page is archived, it removes inherited view restrictions from the children below it. This might change who can view them.

@Darryl Lee

You got pretty much what you asked for and stayed within the possibilities. At the end of the day, the quality of Generative AI really depends on how good/precise your prompts are.
