Hi. I would like to create the following automation
When: A new STORY is created
Then:
I am alright creating an EPIC and setting its name but I am struggling to then loop back and set that newly created EPIC as the parent of the trigger story
Thank you
Hi @Chris Hampshire ,
1. When the issue created -> Add if/else condition to check the created issue is a Story
2. Then create new issue with type Epic Set summary as follows
3. Then edit issue fields
Cheers!
Hello @Chris Hampshire
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Please show us a screen image of the rule that you have created. That will enable us to advise you on how to modify it.
Depending on how your rule is constructed, I think you should be able to add an Edit Issue step after the Epic is created. That step would operate against the trigger issue. In that step you would set the Parent field to the key of the created issue.
