Make smarter migration decisions with Portfolio Insights - now Generally Available

Hi Community members!

I'm Katarzyna Derenda, Group Product Manager for Cloud Transitions at Atlassian. I'm excited to announce the General Availability of Portfolio Insights—a feature within the Atlassian Administration that provides strategic guidance and recommendations to help you make smarter migration decisions. Portfolio Insights is available at no additional cost to all customers with an Atlassian organization.

With Portfolio Insights, you can:

1. Visualize your Atlassian footprint

View your Jira and Confluence environments across Cloud and Data Center in one dashboard to take stock of your Atlassian footprint and plan your cloud migration with clarity.

2. Plan smarter migrations

Identify which Data Center instances are ready for migration and which require cleanup. For sites needing improvement, you also get guided recommendations to address these gaps so you can migrate confidently and have an optimal cloud experience.

3. Optimize ahead of your migration

Get recommendations on how to keep your Jira and Confluence Data Center instances healthy and high-performing until you’re ready to migrate.

What’s changed since the Open-Beta?

Assessment for Marketplace apps

Portfolio Insights now assess the cloud readiness of Xray Test Management for Jira, Zephyr - Test Management and Automation for Jira, and ScriptRunner for Jira. We plan to expand this list to include assessments for additional Marketplace apps in the future.

Expanded cloud readiness assessment

Migration insights for Jira and Confluence Data Center now include assessments for users and groups, media and attachments, Confluence nested body macros, Jira boards and filters, and Automation rules, in addition to core data.

Expanded Data Center optimization insights

Optimization insights are now available for Confluence Data Center, in addition to Jira Data Center, which was previously available for the Open Beta.

How do I get started?

Admins with organization level permissions can access Portfolio Insights in Atlassian Administration by going to (admin.atlassian.com > Insights > Portfolio Insights). Learn more about how to get started.
