I would need to know, how to create a custom type field to be used in my Jira Software Cloud issues.

My project is next generation Jira software. I have tried, but I cannot see the new type to be added in my Jira software issue.

To create custom fields follow these steps listed below:

From your project's sidebar, select Project settings > Issue types. Select the issue type you want to edit. Under Create new field, drag the type of field you want to create. Jira highlights the areas you can drop the field into.
