Can i write a filter that pulls all Spikes that are linked to Incidents?

Spike is one issue type, Incidents are another issue type

I want to make a filter of all Spikes that are linked to Incidents (Project = XX and Type = YY).

I think I know of one way to do it, which is make a new link type that is specific of the Spike-Incident relationship, and then filter on the presence of that linktype, but I don't want to do that because its too specific and our linktypes aren't used with discipline. So I want to be able to pull all spikes that "are linked to" an incident.

Hi @Meghan O_Lone ,

You can search for the issue types and query if the issueLinkType is not empty. Something like:

issueLinkType is not EMPTY and type in ( "Spike", "Incident") and project = XX

ok so its more like I want to see all spikes which are linked to incidents (and not spikes that are not linked to incidents, or linked to ONLY an improvement, or bug, etc.)

So i think the one you sent would pull all spikes AND incidents that are linked to ANYTHING. 

I feel like what I want might not be possible?
