Updating ATLAS target date does not update epic end date on Jira plan timeline

I have created a project in ATLAS and linked an epic where the work is being tracked.
Separately I have created a plan that tracks a series of epics related to a larger project which includes the epic linked to the ATLAS project.
What I would like to happen, is for the target date set in ATLAS to update the end date for the associated epic, so that the timeline view is driven by ATLAS updates and the team does not need to make changes to dates in two places.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
