Does the free version of Atlas still integrate with Azure AD?

We are looking at Atlas for one of our customers and I am interested in finding out if the Azure AD sync is available of the free version of Atlas?

Yes, you can sync the manager attribute into Atlas using Azure AD on the Atlas Free plan. Here's a guide for the steps to follow to complete the sync

One thing I wanted to add - your customer will need Atlassian Access to connect Azure AD, and Access does have a subscription fee. 

You will not need to pay an Access subscription fee for users who only have access to Atlas. But users with access to other Atlassian products may be billable as described here.
