We have some OKRs that are top down, e.g. we have an Objective and associated Key Results for a department level goal, and other lower orgs in the department have their own set of OKRs to support that top level goal. It can get confusing to understand what is an Objective and what is a Key Result when setting up this hierarchy. In addition, when you apply a search it would be nice to immediately see if your result is an O or a KR. Is there a way to make them look visually different?
I see the workaround of putting [O] or [KR] in front, but this can get messy and inconsistent too. And it looks like a workaround. I have seen other tools where you can tell which is which visually.
While I am here, are there other ways to link OKRs besides the parent/chlld goal hierarchy?
Thank you!
Charlotte
Hi @Charlotte McPherson _US-ENG_,
I know your question goes back a long way. As I bumped into it while reviewing some unanswered items, I noticed that in the meantime Atlassian has come up with different goal settings.
It is now possible to define different goal types with underlying success metrics using a framework of naming of your choice. These types and metrics are now represented in a distinct manner visually as well:
To access these goal settings, click on the cog icon near the top right corner when you are in the Goals app.
Good chance you had already figured this out in the meantime, but just in case ... Hope this helps!
