Thank you!
I just hope the answer won't be something like "please close your other [whatever entities I can't access] before proceeding further".

Hi @Upform
If the self-service options for account deletion cannot be completed, please contact support for assistance. Create a support ticket at Atlassian Support under “Personal Data and GDPR" - select "Request a copy of your personal data" and state the reason that an Atlassian account deletion is required and why the self-service options cannot be utilized. Add a link to this Forum post to the ticket as well.
After validating your eligibility and authentication, our support team can help expedite a request. Please know we can only accelerate Atlassian account deletion to the earliest of 15 days.

Hi, @Upform
To delete a personal, unmanaged Atlassian account, go to Account preferences → Delete your account at https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile. Atlassian deactivates the account for 14 days before permanently deleting it.

If you cannot select deletion, provide the error message. Common reasons are being an organization-managed account (requiring an Org Admin), the last billing admin, or a technical contact.
As this is a public user community, we cannot access or delete accounts for you.
You can also contact Atlassian here directly https://www.atlassian.com/company/contact/purchasing-licensing#/

Hi Arek, how can I escalate this or make a formal complaint? Obviously I've tried to sort out all the mish-mash in the account before trying this route. But there is no contact email or phone where I can sort this out. So there is a vicious circle you also maintain by asking me to go back to the place that I just came from (where it's impossible to close the account from).
Thank you in advance for pointing me in a right direction, not a wrong one.

Here similar Topic answered from one member of Atlassian Team.
Use that as a reference, as Billing Support previously stated they are the correct department to address this matter.
Please understand that we are simply members of this community, just like you. We can guide you and show you the right way, but you must take these steps yourself.

Hi! Well that's in part the problem: that they don't care about people wanting to close their account, and rely on unpaid work to deal with non-paying customers. And the usability of this is a nightmare. Well, technically it's a dark pattern but I am assuming their designers are well intended but have poor usability skills. Cause the other way around is much worse.
