The objective was to add a user to a group for administering Confluence, but when I tried to authenticate Atlassin refused to let me do so. It failed on the 6 digit code from my google authenticator. I have one and only one entry in google authenticator for Atlassian. I have tried entering the code at the start of the timer and at the end of the timer. It doesn't work.
We pay for Atlassian every month. So, I figured I would open a support ticket. It appears that you cannot contact support or the community unless you login to your account. Does anyone see a problem with that? Say, for instance, you can't login to your account , then how do to log a problem with logging in to your account?
So, now that I have creaed a new account with atlassian, with the email atlassianisbroken@meisecurity.com, how can I fix the problem with my own account?

I'm not sure if you're still having this problem or not but your best bet would be to reach out to your Atlassian organization admin; depending on your organization settings, they may be able to reset your two factor authentication settings which would allow you to enroll again.
Failing that, reaching out to Atlassian with your new/temporary account would be the best option.
