A former member keeps on receiving mails/posts

When I update or change a User Story a former employee, that in the past has been assigned to certain User Stories but no longer is assigned to the User Stories, keeps on receiving alerts and mails.

This is SPAM. It seems that I can not remove her from the team. She keeps on being a manager (in Dutch: beheerder). I am informed by the online application that I could try a paid version of Jira, but as we don't use it frequently that is not really an option.

Are there any ways to do something about this problem?

Hi @Jochgem Gunneman and welcome to the community,

You should check if that user is a watcher on these issues. If he/she is, then remove him/her.

You should also check if that user is part of a specific role, to which notifications are being sent out. If yes, then you should redesign your solution or remove him/her from that role.
