I am using the the workflow that allows me to create a Jira ticket through Slack. However when this ticket is created , the text within the ticket is poorly formatted i.e. there is a lack of spaces between line entries on the form.

For example, I would fill out the lines on the form:

Type of request: Data analytics

Priority level of request: Urgent

However on the ticket description, these will appear as 'Data analyticsUrgent'

If I use emojis beside the questions in the form , these will also appear in the jira ticket i.e. '

:white_circle:Data analytics :ok_hand:Urgent'

Please can you help me with this?

Not an answer I'm afraid, but, I have the same issue. I've got a slack workflow posting via jira cloud plugin however no matter what formatting I try it just turns up as plain text!

Even *bold* won't render.

Same here, bold text does not render. Text formatting in general does not work when adding a Jira issue description via the Jira Cloud Slack workflow step.

I have this issue. It's really unfortunate because the convenience of creating tickets from Slack is overshadowed by the hassle of having to re-edit the ticket descriptions.

The issue I experience is that the description sent from the Slack plugin lacks formatting, but does preserve white space. However, as soon as you edit the description, ALL white space is collapsed and the entire description becomes one block of text (no line breaks!).
