Did You Know Your Jira Data Can Generate 50+ Different Reports?

[Banner with external link removed --can be updated as image--]

Still starting with a blank JQL box every time someone asks for a report?

The data you need is probably already sitting in Jira. The most challenging part is turning it into a report that actually answers the question.

You start with a JQL query. Add a few filters. Check the results. Change something. Add another condition. Before you know it, you have spent an hour building a report for a meeting that starts in 20 minutes.

The problem isn’t that Jira lacks data. Different teams simply need different answers from the same data.

  • An Engineering Manager might want to know what the team shipped this week and who is overloaded.
  • A Scrum Master may want to know whether the team is on track to finish the sprint.
  • A Release Manager needs to know if everything is ready to go.
  • A Support Lead may want a clear view of what changed so they can communicate it to customers.
  • The PMO may need a recurring report from a custom JQL query without having to rebuild it every week.

That’s where the right report can make a difference.

We have put together a 50+ Jira Reports List covering 10 different roles and the types of questions they commonly need to answer.

The list includes reports covering:

  • Sprint velocity and burndown
  • Team workload and capacity
  • Release and deployment readiness
  • Roadmap and product delivery
  • Backlog health
  • Security and compliance
  • Customer impact and release communication
  • Portfolio health
  • Custom JQL-based reporting

Then there are the unusually specific questions that appear five minutes before a meeting.

  • Which projects are at risk? There’s a report for that.
  • How is a feature progressing across projects? There’s one for that too.
  • Can a custom JQL report be sent automatically every week? That’s covered as well.

The idea is simple: get the right Jira data, in the right format, to the people who need it.

These reports can be generated from your existing Jira data and scheduled, formatted, and delivered automatically with Automated Release Notes and Reports for Jira [external link removed]. This removes the need to manually export data and rebuild the same reports every time.

So, before you open that blank JQL box again, check the list.

There may already be a report for the question you’re trying to answer.
