Using the Idea field from JPD in Jira Planning

Hi,

I am looking into using the Idea field from JPD to filter and group issues as explained in this article:

https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Product-Discovery-articles/New-integration-with-Jira-Plan-ex-Advanced-Roadmaps-is-now/ba-p/2841514

I am trying to follow the steps in the article, but cannot obtain the same results. I am suspecting that some prerequisite setup is missing on our system. What I have done so far is:

To add the JPD project as an issue source in the plan:

This enables me to filter on the issue type, but the Idea issue type is listed on STORY level. I would expect that it would be listed on a level above EPIC level.

I suspect there is a missing configuration of the issue type in the issue type hierarchy, but I cannot select the issue type from the dropdown on the configuration screen.

I have the role of System Admin. We are running a company-managed project on Jira Cloud.

A follow-up on my problem: I found out (via Atlassian Support - excellent team, by the way) that the feature had not been rolled out to our instance. We changed our subscription from "Bundled release" to "rolling release" (or something along those lines), to receive new functionality earlier.
