Welcome Wednesday: Give me your best "Dad Joke"!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

I have reached a certain age, and point in my life where I find a particular flavor of jokes much more entertaining than I use to.  And, I get even more joy watching the rest of my family groan every time I tell them one of these types a jokes.

My company has embraced this to the point where we have an entire slack channel devoted to #dadjokes.  But, it doesn't stop there, there is a leaderboard where points are awarded when someone leaves the channel after a joke has been posted.  Points aren't scored often, but I thought this was a fun game to play with it.

Additionally, the majority of people in that channel are there because they love those types of jokes and it isn't uncommon for a joke told to be expanded on within the thread and the level of humor continues.

So, my request of you this week is to give me you BEST "Dad Joke"!  I would like you all to remember that we are on a public place so let's make sure they jokes are ones that I can show to my 6 year old :)

To get things kicked off I'm going to give you all the expanded version of one that was in our #dadjokes channel:

#1: Watching Bond played by Dalton, Brosnan and Craig has left me wanting Moore.
#2: Moore Connery?
#1: Roger that!

We started telling jokes during Friday standup after I stumbled on this meme. 

My kids even bought me a big book of dad jokes last year for my birthday - it has a dad joke for every day of the year.

HAHAHA.  Needed this this morning, @Jimmy Seddon !  Here's an old family favorite coming straight from my grandfather...

This pie tastes like cake, donut?

So stupid but it still cracks me up to this day.  What makes it funnier is that when my niece was younger, my dad and I told her this joke but she didn't fully understand it so you used to retell it as "this pie tastes like cake, doesn't it?"  It has made it that much funnier in our family.

I have written a dad joke. Vanderbilt University mascot is commodore. So my joke goes like this.
