You do not delete.  I'm currently in a conversation about using forums as knowledge bases.  People here ask good questions, and (hopefully) get good answers, which it would be nice to be able to search and get more answers.

I'm a member of the community because I get so much help from reading old questions, and their answers!

makes sense.  Turns out my issue wasn't a real issue, it resolved itself, just took longer than expected so I thought something was wrong. ;)
