I wish I could see how many cards I have in the column
Never used it before, but this seems to be an answer?:

Seems to be a Count stat for each List (column)
By default, Trello won't show how many cards are in a list. There's a workaround though, which is to set * as the card search for the board.
Because * is a wildcard in the filter, it will match everything on the board, and the "match count" (number of cards matching the filter) will be all cards.
