google based login to old email based login free account

HI, 
my old login is based on hotmail (not not the automatic microsoift login) , what steps I need to follow to convert that account to be able to login vi google login account without losing my projects info  / lists etc

Hi Nir!

To change the email from xxxx@hotmail.com to the new  xxxx@google.com email of your Atlassian account you can go through the steps below to update the email address:

  1. Access https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/email.
  2. Enter the new email address (@google.com)
  3. Save changes.
  4. Check the inbox of the new email address to find the verification message.
  5. Click Verify your email and follow the instructions to conclude the update. 
  6. Instead of entering the email and password, you can click on the Google Social button to log in.

did not eork at all, after changing my email I logged in via my google button and it created a new account for me, instead of using my hotmail account info

did not move any of my boards to the google account
