can't embed trello board into Canvas course

very frustrating!

board is set to public. no matter what I do, it only shows up as a hyperlink.

I've never worked with Canvas courses, but I believe you've followed this guide for embedding a board. Did you also add the part with the <script> tag?

This adds some JavaScript to your page which is then responsible to load the Trello board and show that little preview. If it's not working, there might be another place where you can add JavaScript in Canvas. I'd recommend to ask the question then in the canvas community.
