I've read the update about the workspace user limit changes starting April 8th, but I need some clarification on how it impacts my design service business.
I'm on the free plan, which I believe allows me one (1) workspace. For each paying client, I create a new Trello board, where I'm the admin and invite the client to collaborate. They, in turn, can invite additional users to the board for creating Trello cards that I manage.
However, the distinction between a workspace and a board is a bit unclear to me, especially with the free plan's allowance of up to 10 boards.
With the new update, does this mean I can invite up to 9 other users to each Trello board under the free plan, as illustrated below?
I'm open to upgrading to a paid plan if necessary, but I first want to fully understand these changes.
Most importantly, I want to ensure that my clients do not incur additional costs for being invited to a board I've created. The pricing page hasn't provided the clarity I'm looking for.
Hi @Resul Cimen
Just posting it here also, for those who want to read it :)
The Free instance will be limited to 10 collaborators - that includes members, guests, and pending invitations. That means your 10 boards can have up to 10 collaborators in total, rather than 10 per board.
If you need to have more than 10 collaborators in a Workspace, you need to upgrade to a paid plan.
However, this does not mean each client member needs to be a billable user - if they are single-board guests, they can be free!

Ste
Stephan, thank you for taking the time to reply on my situation in such a detailled way. The pages with more information about guests and how billing works really answered a lot of questions I had. 👍

No worries!
If this answer (and @Rasmus Wulff Jensen's helped), could you accept them?
That helps others who find this question in future know these answers can help them too :)

For anyone dealing with a similar situation as I do, I've just found this interesting YouTube video from @Rasmus Wulff Jensen. Rasmus explains the new Trello restriction rules via a few examples.

🙂: I was just about to link it to you, as example 3 seems like your scenario 👍

Thank you for replying Rasmus, also for creating such a clear video! 👏
