Hi,
I want to create a flow whereby I move a card to a certain list and it emails someone to order that item.
Move card to list > email person with the title of the card, cover picture, description etc
I tried to do this as a report, where it would create a report for items in that list every x days and email the person, but it would be doing that on repeat which I don't want. I only want it sent initially when the card is moved.
Is there any way to do this, any help would be much appreciated?
Kind regards
You can use Trello's "Card Move" Power-Up and a service like Zapier to create a flow that will send an email to a specific person when a card is moved to a certain list.
Here's how you can set this up:
Now, whenever a card is moved to the specified list, an email will be sent to the specified recipient with the title, cover picture, and description of the card.
Alternatively, you can use Zapier to create a Zap that will trigger an email whenever a card is moved to a certain list in Trello. To do this, you will need to create a Zapier account and connect it to your Trello account. Then, you can use the "New Card" trigger in Trello and the "Send Email" action in Zapier to set up the flow.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

I am actually having trouble finding the power-up 'Card Move'.
Any advice?

@Danny De'gaetano i didn't know this was a power-up, bu you should be able to do it with automation, no power-ups needed. Just go to Automation and then 'Rules' and select the "when a card is added to list" and then select the list, then create an action for sending an email.

Hi,
The problem with this is how do I specify in that email to include the card details?
Is there a way either through Trello or Zapier to include the cover image?

I think we may need to start again on this question. The current answer was written by chatGPT, which has no understanding of Trello. (Try pasting the answer into https://openai-openai-detector.hf.space if you doubt me)

Thanks Nic, seems this might be a problem going forward where people paste questions asked on Forums and just paste ChatGPT's answer.
As for my initial question. I wanted a way, when cards are moved from one list to another, an email is sent to an address.
For example,
to example@example.com
Please can we order the following
1 x PC
Picture of cover of card.
Description of card.
etc.
Is this possible?
I feel like the picture of cover of card isn't possible.
Thanks

Yes, AI postings are getting more common, and it's really really annoying.
You can do the email send with Butler (the built-in automation tool), but as far as I can tell, the message is fixed, it's not the card content. I think there are power-ups that can send the content though, one of my colleagues is using Sendboard which seems to be doing it.

Christl from SendBoard here, makers of the Email for Trello Power-Up.
Adding to Nic's message here, with our Email for Trello Power-Up it is possible to pull card content and details into emails by including variables in your emails/saved replies. For example, due dates, check lists, card title, custom field data etc.
You can also use Trello Automation to automatically send emails to recipients based on events or triggers. Check out this article as an example of How to Drag a Trello card to send an email.
The challenge will be sending the cover picture. We don't have an easy way to access and send that as part of an email. Some of users manage their files in a drive, add the link of the drive in a custom field and then include the custom field variable in their emails. Recipients can then access the attachments/drive through the link shared with them in the email. Depending on your workflow, that might be an option to consider.
