The documents I upload to cards will not open up on Trello. Why? What needs to happen to correct this?

What type of file is it? (File extension?)... Trello can by default open things like PDF, txt, and so on, but if it is a more special file type it will not know how to open and you need to download the file first before you can view it

It was a docx.  I've discovered that Google Drive powerups solve the problem.  Help, etc. was absolutely no help whatsoever.
