I have a group inbox that has the following error with every email:
There was an unknown error adding your card to the Trello board. If you continue to encounter issues, please email us using the support form.
For more information on sending cards to your board via email, please visit our help page.
Would really like to remove trello associated with this account. I believe this is a legacy issue from a previous employee who has now left.

With Trello you can create a card on a board by sending an email to an address that you can get directly from a Trello board. Here's a link with more information on this - https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/creating-cards-by-email/
It sounds like there could be a rule on your group inbox that's forwarding emails sent to this inbox to a Trello address and if the board this email address was created for this no longer exists, this would be why you're receiving these emails.
I'd recommend reaching out to your IT team to get them to check for any forwarding rules that are setup on this inbox and to disable a rule that's sending emails to an address on the @boards.trello.com domain.
