We have taken every step to integrate Trello and Slack (added it to the Trello workspace and the Slack workspace, added the Slack power up to the boards, added the boards to the channels, followed the process for private boards, made the board not private, etc.) and we're still unable to attach a conversation to a card because after we add the card and click on Attach Conversation, we keep getting this error message:

Sorry, looks like I ran into a problem attaching this Slack message to the card. Please make sure that you have permission to edit the card.

Hi Erica,

Looking at the end of the error you are getting:

...Please make sure that you have permission to edit the card.

Can you please click Share from the top of that board and see if you are an Observer

screenshot_TrelloInvitingObserver.png

As Observers have limited permissions than a regular Member of the board, they cannot move or edit cards, upload card attachments, tick the box on a checklist item or change board settings.

To fix this you can ask the admin of the board to either make you a Member of the board, or ask them to do those tasks on your behalf. If this helps, this article might be helpful: Will I be charged for Observers?

I hope this helps, but let us know if you have any questions!
