My workspace is new to Trello, we have all added the calendar to our Outlook365 however when we add new appointments through outlook instead of creating a card in Trello this does not show up in the other users calendars. Does each meeting require a card or is there a work around?

Hey @Chloe Huish - while you can import your Trello calendar into Outlook, you can't import calendar items you've created in Outlook into Trello. If you want others to see appointments you've created, you'll either need to create them in Trello or invite your collaborators to them in Outlook.
