1. I create a checklist. Assume userid = checklistcreator.
2. I assign the various check items to other team members. Eg: member1, member2.
3. member1 - checks his checkitem stating it is complete.
4. everyone gets a notification from firstname.lastname@example.org the notification should come from email@example.com -- is this possible?
From this page you can see that there is no notification triggered when an item is marked complete.
for checklist item there is only this “You are mentioned in a checklist item.”
There is also no member specific email notification based on who checks off the item.
