Trello: How can you search by mentions vs. assigned cards?

Fallon Scoggins November 27, 2018

I need to find an effective solution to follow-up on all cards that I ask a user a question via a mention.  It looks like I can search by assigned cards, but sometimes in the flow it's easier to just @ a member. My ideal flow is to be able to search for follow-ups for the week to see if team members responded to my questions so things don't fall through the cracks.

@Fallon Scoggins put this in the search (not filter or boards menu, but search box):

comment:"@username" edited:day

replace "username" with the actual username you want to look for. You can also use edited:week and is:open, board:"boardname" etc.

All search options are viewable here:

Dear @Iain Dooley ; I tried using the [ comment:"@namelastname" ] method to search for cards.  My user/member name ("@namelastname") is mentioned in at least one comment in a few cards in one board.  I tried both the search box at the very top as well as the filter form.  But no hits.  What am I doing wrong? Thanks

PS. I reviewed the instructions at [ https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/searching-for-cards-all-boards/ ] as well.  The one about searching comments agrees with your instructions.  So, I guess I am at the right place.
