Transferring account info

Hi All

Basically I want to change my account email because I created personal boards while still working for my old company that I am now resigned from, and unfortunately my email account with which I registered is under the old companies domain name.

Which means if my old comapany resets the password then my personal boards could be lost.

So from here I have downloaded my personal json data file and created a new account under a personal email account. How do I now import the personal json data file under my new account?

Hi Jacques,

If there is any possibility for you to connect with the company to see if they can change the email on your account to something not already in use, something like a personal email, that would help you retain access to the original account. 

If you happen to still be logged into that account using a company email, for example on mobile, we don't have a way to directly merge two different accounts, but we do have a workaround you can try: invite your new account to the boards that your original account has access to. Make your new account the board admin/team admin, where possible. With that, you can log into the new account and remove the old account from boards.

Finally, if you can't access the original account at all, but have some data you'd like to bring into your new account, there are a few different ways to import data into Trello. If you’re working with a spreadsheet program (like Excel) or a word processor (like Word), you can copy and paste your information directly into Trello to bulk-create cards.
