Stuck in a Trello Email Loop

I created a Trello board using what I believed was my regular email address. However, later I was unable to access it.

When I tried visiting the board's URL (which I found through my browser history), the site prompted me to request access, even though I was logged in with the same email.

I sent the access request, received it in my inbox, and clicked on the "Add to my Trello" link. But instead of being granted access, I was redirected to a page stating I’d be notified once I was added—despite the fact that I had just added myself!

I’m completely confused. Could you help me understand what’s happening?

Thanks for the URL.

I noticed that you raised this issue with your email au***y.cr***ea@g*il.c*m, and the link you shared was a card that belongs on a board of another email, that is au***ycr***ea@g*il.c*m,


There's just a slight difference, a dot on your email causing to be a different account, if you log on the one without a dot you should be able to acess. Sorry about coud'nt be more directly, but for security reasons i can't share your emails complete here, but hopefully you would be able to get it.

Thank you so much! I succeded to get back at the boards I was searching for. Would it be possible to merge the two accounts ? I tried to change the email on the second account but I received a message saying it's impossible.

Glad you were able to log in. Unfortunately there's no way of merging two existing accounts.

The best course of action would be to access the account you no longer wish to use and invite the other account as an admin to the boards you want to retain. This way, you can copy all the content to the account you wish to keep. Once you have successfully transferred everything, you can proceed to delete the account you no longer need.

You can also create a third email that is not associated with an atlassian account, and change the email of one of the accounts to that email, after free the email you can then change the email of the original account to another in case you want it.
