Splitting multiple tasks from one email-to-board card? Edited

I’m wondering if this is even possible.  I’m getting an email to board card that contains this:

These are two tasks I need to track.

  • Is it possible to split this into two card?
  • What if there were more than 2 tasks?
  • Is there some way to make a loop to look for “Course Reserves - BookChapter“?

TIA!

Hi @Kirk_Wang ,

I think the best way to solve this by using Zapier email parse.

Zapier could be a good tool for that. It would work like that:

Resend automatically your emails to Email Parse Inbox --> Extract the data --> Trigger when an email is received --> Filtering to "Do this or That" depending on the data you extract.

If you need more info feel free to ask!

Thanks

Hey great idea, I'll give that a try

@Kirk_Wang this Trellinator command would split the description when set on a card based on the "Course Reserved" text, and create a task for each one linked back to the original card:

You can read more about Trellinator here:

You might also like this thing I created to use Trello as an email client, so you could send your replies to people directly from the task cards as you move them through the on-boarding process:

Wow that's pretty awesome, I'll have to check out Trellinator.  I did figure out a way of doing it in Butlerbot which involved way too many wildcards, but hey it works...
