Sharing a cards to a non trello member to view only

HI,

I have created a template card. When I reach a certain point in a checklist, I want to share the progress in a "view only" with the recipient. They are non-Trello members. I tried to use the Share Link, but they get a notification that they have to join for free to view it. Is there another way I can have them view the card?

Kim, if you make your board public then anyone can access it without logging into Trello (please do this only if you want to make the board open to everyone on the Internet)
