Hi,
I m interested to know if there is a way to share a view only link to a trello board to a group of people. So they can all view the board, open cards but not edit anything. While at the same time, share individual cards (with editable rights) to each individual in the same group.
The board is meant to be shared with the group, however, I need each individual to be able to edit their own cards only. This is to avoid them editing other people's cards intentionally or by mistake.
Please let me know. The group I am working with are from multiple areas.
Simple answer - no
Trello is designed to be an open collaboration platform and thus the restrictions are very limited
You can use External Share Power-up to share links with those who only need to view/comment
You can also use card filters to ensure that team members only see stuff assigned to them
Furthermore, there is traceability on cards in the activity log. If people changing things they shouldn't, you can take the approach of highlighting it in from the logs and talking to them about not doing it...
