I recently set up my first Trello board. In doing so, I created the automation rules below. Unfortunately, the rules are not "kicking in." I thought maybe I needed to exit my browser and reenter, or that maybe the rules would only work once I created new cards, but neither of those theories have proven true. Is there something wrong with the way I wrote these rules or perhaps a step I am missing in getting these rules to take effect? Thanks a lot!
Hey @[deleted] ! Welcome to the community :) when did the triggers occur? Before or after the rules were created? I.e. let's say you created the 1st rule around all checklists being completed 7 days ago; is there an example of a card that had all its checklists complete <7 days ago? Just note that Butler automation isn't retroactive, so the actions will only trigger when the events happen after the rules are created.
If things have been triggered after the rule creation, but the actions still aren't happening, have a look at the command logs - maybe there's something there that could explain why it's not working?
Hi Hannah,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Given your questions about the order of operations, I just tested it out and, with the exception of one rule (which I fixed), the rules appear to be working on newly created cards. If I want to apply my rules to cards I already created, do I basically just have to delete and recreate all of my cards?
Thanks,
Daniela

They should work on existing cards as well as new cards. Can you try opening an existing card, creating a test checklist, adding some checkitems and completing all of them?
Just looking at the date ones again, you might have to change these rules to due date rules depending on how you want the automation to work. The current triggers are for when a date is set. Potentially creating something like this would make better sense:
And then a similar one for the cards due this week.

That was a helpful tip, thank you! Things are for the most part working at this point. I will let you know if I run into more automation issues. Thanks again for your help!
