Selecting multiple card for edit

I distinctively remember using a shortcut to select multiple card and even found an article that says it is possible

However SHIFT+CLICK for me opens up new tab (chrome) or new instance (trello desktop app) and I have tried all the other combination (SHIFT ALT,ALT,SHIFT CTRL,CTRL ALT) to no avail.

Is there a setting within that I have to change?
