Hm, that's definitely odd, Fran.
Can you please uninstall the desktop app and install it again, but making sure to follow the instructions here:
How to Uninstall the Trello Desktop App (https://help.trello.com/article/1107-how-to-uninstall-the-trello-desktop-app)
I'd really suggest doing the same for iOS as well: https://help.trello.com/article/1061-troubleshooting-for-the-ios-app
I know this is pretty general, but it helps us narrow things down by making sure you have the most recent version of the app and that there is no leftover data from previous versions.
