Hi @Floortje

Welcome to the Community!

Can I ask how you're syncing between Trello and your Google Calendar? Are you subscribing to it via iCal or using another PowerUp?

I use the Calendar PowerUp as well as Cronofy to sync my boards to GCal. One board to one calendar can be synced for free with Cronofy, but if you want more boards to more calendars Cronofy is $24 annually. I paid £20.74 for it last week, after having used the 1 board = 1 calendar for many months.

Please let us know if you're using something else and we'll try again!

Esme :)

Hi ! Thank you for answering ! I only use Power Ups and it updates after a couple of hours. I do have multiple boards synced to on Gcal (such a handy thing to do for planing projects out over several weeks !)

So, you are saying that I have to get Cronofy to be able to update my calendar in RT ?

I'll have a look and thank you again !

Hi @Floortje

So are you using the calendar PowerUp and then using the iCal subscription?

If this is the case, the information will sync according to the settings set by Google.

I found this helpful article on Using Trello with Google Calendar where it states:

Not seeing updates in your calendar?

Changes made in Trello won't instantly update to third-party applications such as Google Calendar when using the iCal feed method below. We estimate that Google Calendar and other third party applications update their external feeds approximately once per day, but that is dependent on how frequently the third party application pings the Trello servers.

There are some speedier alternatives available through third parties, such the  Cronofy or Planyway Power-Ups.

So I would assume that if you're using the Calendar PowerUp, and subscribing to the iCals for each Trello Board, they won't update in real time.

I can say with confidence, because I use it all day every day, that Cronofy is usually pretty quick! Cronofy also allows you to have 2-way sync, so if I have a Trello event on my calendar and I know I'm not going to be able to do it at 3pm, I can move the event in my Google Calendar to tomorrow at 10am and it'll sync through to my Trello board and change the due date and time.

I used Cronofy free (1 board > 1 calendar) for around a year. I only purchased the unlimited boards > unlimited calendars last week and I've never had a problem with it.

I set up specific calendars on my Google Calendar that my Trello boards feed into, and if you're going to do this, I would recommend that you do this first, before you start syncing otherwise you have the risk that things will show up twice!

Please let us know if we can help further! More than happy to help :)

That is a great answer ! Thank you so much for the time you took. I'll go have a look at these two options. Thanks again and have a great day !

@Floortje If you're planning projects, rather than using Calendar as your ad-hoc gantt charting tool, I'd recommend trying Placker which has fantastic Trello integration:

Thank you Lain ! I'll have a look /// have a beautifull day
