Hi Trelloers.
We have several boards with at least the Harvest power up and sometimes also Google Drive and Add to Todoist buttons. But recently (about a month or two), I noticed that the buttons don't always work, if I have had the tab open idle for some time and come back to it, the button just animates when clicked, but the button action doesn't work. It's the same for all three mentioned buttons, so I guess it's a Trello thing.
When clicked, I can see an exception thrown in the Google Developer Console, see below. Also there's a request to AnalyticsClient.ts which seems to be successful.
After a page reload, the buttons work fine again.
Does anyone see the same as me?
As it only happens after a while, it's a bit hard to reproduce. I have extensions active in Google Chrome, and I will try to disable them, but again, it will take some time to test out. Extensions: 1Password, Consent-o-Matic, Adblock Plus, Web Developer Form Filler and Toggle Invert!
Hi @Svend Koustrup !
I've tried reproducing the problem on my end but haven't had any luck so far. Could you try using Trello in an incognito window for a day or two? This will turn off most extensions and might help us figure out if one of them is causing the issue.
I'll also keep an eye out for others experiencing the same thing so we can gather more info and report it as a bug if needed!
Hopefully we'll figure what's happening here soon!
Thank you for trying to reproduce. It happens after "a while", I'm not sure if minutes or half an hour, but something like that. And I guess also it has something to do with being away from the tab - being in other tabs or in other apps altogether.
I will certainly try to disable some extensions (I have extensions in Incognito as well). I just need to hear my colleague which extensions he is using, as he is also experiencing this. I will get back to you. Thanks again.

I now just used Incognito, where apparently just 1Password extension was active. I went to another (non-incognito) browser tab for 10 minutes, and now the button didn't work. I'll try disabling 1Password as well...

By the way: I'm in Google Chrome version 130.0.6723.92 (Official Build) (64-bit)

As of now, without 1Password, it actually still works. I might be premature, but...
Another thing I just noticed with the Harvest powerup button which have two "actions", so it acts like a "dropdown" menu, is that when first clicked, the menu only has an exit X button on the right, which works fine. But if I click the Harvest button once more (to close the menu again), then a "back" button gets visible on the top left of the menu. Nothing happens when clicking the back button. This happens both in Incognito (no extensions) and not. I'm not sure if it's Harvest or Trello related. I guess it's a built-in feature of Trello?

I have now experienced the bug in an Incognito Chrome Browser with no extensions at all. Sorry, I guess it's a Trello thing? Maybe it's when Chrome disables/deactivates/hibernates the tab?

Hi @Svend Koustrup !
I got it to reproduce on my machine on two browsers following your steps!
I'm raising a Bug Report on this issue, you can follow its development here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/TRELLO-786.
Thanks for testing and taking the time to investigate as well!

I'm very happy that you could reproduce and have raised a bug report. I'm looking forward to any progress on this, thanks a lot!
You haven't heard about this from anyone else? I'm feeling very special <3 :D
Do you have a comment on the back-button issue or should I create a new community post for this thing? Not sure if it's really a bug and it for sure is not very important :-)
Best regards,
SvendK

Hahahahaha! You were the first to report!
No need to take any further action. If you want to create a post for awareness and to try to check if more people are being affected, feel free, but this post is already marked internally on the bug report, so the engineering team can trace it back to your conversation here :)
Thanks again, have a great one!
