One Premium account for 2 email adresses

I want to use trello in 2 different jobs I do. Therefor I need 2 different "accounts" ... but both am I. Is there any solution not to pay twice for myself?

Hi Uli, welcome to the community! :)

First thing that's worth noting is that in Trello there's the concept of a Workspace: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/what-are-trello-workspaces/. Subscriptions apply to the Workspace and it's associated users, rather than your account itself. If you upgrade a Workspace from Free to Premium, you're charged based on the number of billable users. More info here: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/how-billing-works-with-trello-premium-and-standard/

You could have 1 Trello account if you wish, with a few options on how to proceed:

- One option is you could have a separate Workspace for each job which would contain the boards specific to that job. Advantage is you could keep everything separate. Downside is you would need to have 2 separate subscriptions if you want both the Workspaces to be Premium.

- Another option is you have one Workspace, and make use of our Collections feature in Premium: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/creating-collections-for-premium-workspaces/. This allows you to categorise boards within your Workspace by tagging them with collections. For example, you could have a collection for each job. Advantage of this option would be it allows you to maintain only one subscription.

Dear Oliver, thanks for your support, and ideas, I really appreciate that, and I am happy to be part of this community now :-)

Unfortunately it does not really help, because I want to use different email-addresses to get notified. To work in different roles seems to be still something weird in the working field ... I just didnt expect to face problems with this at Trello.

Hi Uli,

No problems. If it helps, you can invite additional users to a Workspace and boards, and then even add them as members to the cards. This could help facilitate receiving notifications to multiple emails.

I realise it's not ideal needing to maintain multiple accounts, but it could be one way that you approach this. Have one account you use as the primary, while having a secondary that's purely for the purpose of adding to boards and watching them. That way you could receive notifications to both.

The idea to use the role of a guest/observer might help .. I will have a look for it and will come back to you/ the community :-)
