Hello! I'm new to Trello and I imagine this is an easy one. I am creating an Onboarding Board for new team members. I need each team member to individually complete the same tasks. Currently the first person who I sent it to checked off items, but the main document is showiing the items checked. I need each user to have their own version of the Onboarding board so I can track their progress through the same steps. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Hi @Heath H. 🙂

I agree with what @Jodi LeBlanc said. This is what we’re doing internally, and it works great. To do things neatly, you can do the following:

  1. Create an Onboarding board template
  2. Create a separate Documentation board (or wherever your doc is for internal processes), explaining how to copy the board, and possibly how to clean it for newcomers.

Hope that helps!

Hi @Heath H have you considered creating a separate onboarding Trello board for each individual? I know a few companies that do that and it works really well and it is more personal for the new hire. You could do a copy board and name it Onboarding - firstname lastname for each individual and then invite them to the board.

Let me know if this helps.

Jodi
