We have set up several boards to behave as "Inspection Boards" for our teams in the field. Each board has a "Template List" that we programmed rules to:
1. Archive the old/used cards at the end of the day
and
2. Regenerate new cards with preset Custom Fields for them to use the next day
However, we have come to a point where our team needs to add more information than what is programmed in the Custom Fields, but only for one card. I understand that Custom Fields are "Board" driven and so the Custom Fields will appear on every card in that Board, which we do not want to have.
My question is, is there another option/powerup we can use where my Field Team can input the information through a Text Box using the Mobile App on their phones, not the Website? We do not want to use Custom Fields because we do not want the questions/information to be shown on the other cards.
We've tried using Amazing Fields, which is an excellent tool that would fit our needs, but it doesn't work through the Mobile App.
Any assistance is really appreciated! Thank you so much and have a great day!
I experimented with the idea of a webapp that has the card id in the url /path. At the same time, the webapp is attached to a custom power up iframe such that the collected data will appear at the back of the card and at the same time use the webapp from the back of the action while in office using the browser. When used as standalone it behaves like an app to collect card specific fields (specific to a user in my original idea).
One of the feature is to allow the use http request to deposit the values in {httpresponse} so that variables can be used as part of Trello automation.
The card should be created with an attachment which will be primarily the url/{cardidlong} so that users can invoke the app from their … this is the little bit I have not got into but I think you should be able to automate this when card is created.
In summary, the idea is a webapp/form that is associated with a card.
