Not Receiving Notifications with Assignee Automation

Hi There!

 

I have set up some automation on my Trello board so that when a card moves into a column, the assignee changes. No matter what I've tried, the new assignee is not receiving notifications.

I've reviewed the following:

- Notification settings on both the browser and mobile device.

- Reviewed the automation rule many times.

- Checked off more of the notifications settings in the notification section.

 

This has been very frustrating and I can't seem to figure out why the notifications are not coming through for the new assignee. Any help is immensely appreciated! Thank you.

This article goes through all the reasons this could happen:

Pay special attention to the following:

"Even if your email notifications are set to 'Instant', there's a slight delay from when a notification occurs in Trello and when the email is actually sent. If you read the notification in Trello before the email is sent, Trello will not send the corresponding email (due to the fact that you have in fact read the notification)."

Also, note that Trello doesn't notify you if you are the person who did the action. I.e. if you add yourself to a card, you don't get a notification.
