Dear Community,
I am looking now for several hours for a solution in the www and already contacted the Slack support. without getting any solution.
I want to use Trello for my project managment and Slack for the according communication. Now, I am looking for a way that whenever a new list (if it would be possible for a card, I would also go for this) is created on my board Trello triggers Slack to create a channel with the list (card) name. Optional it would add the assigned people from a card to this channel.
Does someone has a solution in mind? I just can't imagine that I am the first running into this problem.
I am looking forward to your replies and thanks in advance for your help.
Best wishes
Julian
Hi Julian! Welcome to the community!
I'm Felipe, nice to meet you. I hope you're doing well :D
Firstly, you can integrate Trello Butler with Slack to automate sending messages from Trello to a specific Slack Channel already created.
To add card information to the slack notification you have to use the "Butler Variables" in the "Post Message" if you want to create a custom message. For example, you can use the "post message" below:
Hi!\nThe *{cardname}* in on the list *{cardlistname}* - {cardlink}\n{carddescription}
Then, you'll have the card like the example below (1) notified like the example (2)

Also, this article might help you to set a more personalized integration between Trello and Slack on your side: The Trello app for Slack
With that said, as it seems you're looking for a way to create a channel with a specific trigger, this feature isn’t available natively within Trello. I’ll pass your interest in this on to our team for consideration.
However there is a 3rd app that may fit you that you can integrate Trello and slack, the Zapier Power up, you can check their Slack + Trello page of integrations.
While we're not able to endorse or provide support for third-party services (since we don’t work with them directly), we've heard good things about that one.
The Power-Ups that integrate with third-party services are only connectors between those services, and in order to take advantage of these connectors, you'll need to have an account for the other service as well.
Because many of these services are provided by separate companies, outside of Trello, any costs associated with their products are also separate.
