I set up my atlassian and Trello account using my work email address. I am now leaving this employment and wish to change the email to my personal email.
However, it tells me my account is managed.I have been in touch with the employer IT services who inform me that they do not manage these accounts. I did not ask for the account to be managed, however am wondering if this happened automatically because I set up organisation details when I opened the account?
Can you advise how I can either change the account to my personal email or delete it so that I can set up a new one?
The work email will be closed down when I leave employment there in the next few weeks.
Hi @Frankie Greenwood ,
Welcome to the atlassian community,
If your company email useraccount are all company task related, you can just create new one with your personal email for personal purposes..
Thank you, but can I delete the one I set up with my organisation email?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
It is likely that someone who manages Atlassian Access for your company has verified the domain and claimed all the user accounts with your company email address under the organisation (which will be the IT team in most cases).
I suggest migrating or exporting the contents from the Trello account to your account instead.

As a side note, it is recommended that personal data be kept separate from company accounts to avoid potential access issues if you are suddenly blocked from accessing company data (e.g., layoffs).
Thank you.

Thank you. I was hoping just to delete the account but it seems I can't do this. The IT department are saying they don't manage these accounts so I will just delete all of the content instead and set up a personal one.
